Free Pattern for Triangle Shawl Using a Granny Stitch
Row 1
This easy shawl crochet pattern starts with a short ch 4. 2 dc into the first ch (first cluster of three dc).
Row 2
Ch 3, turn. 2 dc into the first stitch, sk 3 dc, ch 2, sk 3 dc, 3 dc into the last st.
Row 3
Ch 3, turn. 2 dc into the first stitch, sk 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc into ch-sp, ch 2, 3 dc into the last st.
Row 4 (and all other rows)
Repeat row 3 by crocheting *sk 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc into ch-sp, ch 2* into all ch-sp. You will always start with ch 3 and 2 dc into the first st of the row and finish with 3 dc into the last st of the row.
Note: if your triangle edge feels tight, you can use tr as your last stitch. For this reason, you can also try to make your last dc stitch lose.
