Instructions
As with all crochet patterns, I would strongly recommend to crochet a test swatch before you start crocheting your infinity scarf. It will help you get familiar with the pattern, check your gauge, and test your crochet hook before you dive-in.
For a test swatch, chain any odd number plus four: ch 19 (15+4=17 chains). These 4 chains represent ch1 space, HDC, ch1 space. 1HDC into the 5th chain from the hook.
Ch 1, sk 1 chain, half double crochet into next chain. Continue to the end of the row. 1HDC into the last chain.
Ch3 (represents HDC and ch1 sp), turn.
1HDC into the first ch sp, ch1. Continue to the end of the row. 1HDC into the last chain space.
Ch3, turn.
That’s it. Crochet your test swatch until it is 5-7 inches tall. Now you are ready to start your crochet infinity scarf pattern.
