Crochet Heart Pattern (free)

Row 1: CH4. 2 DC into 4th CH from the hook (the first chain) (1 GS).

Row 2: CH 3, 2DC into the same stitch, CH1, 3DC into the last stitch of the previous row (2 GS+CH1).

Row 3: *CH3, turn. 2DC into the same stitch, CH1, 3DC into the CH SP, CH1*, 3DC into the last stitch of the previous row (3 GS+2 CH1).

Row 4: for this row, repeat ** finishing with 3DC into the last stitch of the previous row (4 GS+3 CH1).

Row 5: next, repeat ** finishing with 3DC into the last stitch of the previous row (5 GS+4 CH1).

Row 6: repeat ** finishing with 3DC into the last stitch of the previous row (6 GS+5 CH1).

After row 6, we’ll start forming the shape of our crochet heart. You can see the middle of this heart with 3 granny stitches on the left and 3 on the right. So, here are the changes that come in row 7.

Row 7: *CH 3, 3DC into next CH-SP, CH1, 3DC into next CH-SP*, CH3, SL ST into next CH-SP (middle of crochet heart). Repeat between **, finish with DC into the last ST of the turning CH.
